A bunch of sicko's

Well this past week has been challenging. Gary was sick about 2 weeks ago and then Nathan and Evan got hit with a cold on Sunday. Nathan got through it just fine (which he always has) except for one night of teething. I think his molars are coming in. Evan on the other hand has had it the roughest. It's been a week and 2 doctor appointments and he is still coughing etc. Poor little man. To top it off I caught the cold as well. So, on our anniversary weekend all plans were canceled and all of us were housebound for 3 days! We all were going a little stir crazy.

I hope that this will be the last week of the cold and it doesn't get passed around again!

Hopefully our daily routine will kick back in to gear and things will get back to some sense of normal.

Some things to look forward too... The sun is shining. Nathan loves being outside so I am really looking forward to summer and being able to take him out do lots of fun stuff! Gary's bday is in about a month then Nathans and mine and then Evans. Lot's of fun ahead and time is flying by!

Girls night out...

I have been talking a lot about wanting a girls night out. It has been so long since I've had the opportunity to spend time with women my age with out having a kid or a husband around. I miss being able to go out with a large group of friends and just relax. I can't even remember when the last time I did that was. I know it was long before I was even married. I go out often with a friend here and there but I have never really planned anything that involves all of my friends. Most of my friends don't even know my other friends etc. It is strange to have so many friends and speak to one friend about another and they have no clue who I'm talking about for the most part. I found this out when I had my sons first birthday and invited a few of my friends and found that no one had anything in common other than having kids and knowing me. It was a little strange. I notice more of this using Facebook as a networking site for friends. I've reconnected with a lot of great friends from high school and remember when we used to hang out in large groups and it was always so much fun because everyone was so different. I look forward to doing that again soon.

I am looking forward to visiting with Joyce this month when she comes to town to visit and hope a few of us can get together and have a great night out!

another year full of memories

Well, December has come and gone and I find myself in January 2010!! Who would have thought?! So much has happend over the past few years I thought 2010 might be somewhat uneventful. Now i'm not so sure. So stay tuned and see what might happen.

I feel as if I have been lagging with taking photo's of the boys and keeping track of their milestones. Evan is getting so big. He turned 6 months old this month and Nathan is only 4 months shy of turning two! He is turning into such a little man with a mind of his own. I love it. He makes me smile and laugh at the silliest things. My children are such a belssing because they allow me to act like a kid again. Gary and I are very lucky to have two happy healthy boys that are just learning and exploring all the possibilites in life. Who knows what 2010 will hold for them! My goal for 2010 is to be there for them as much as possible and try to introduce as many experiences as I can, for Gary and I to show them how much we love one another and how much we love them.

I hope to write more often and share more photo's this year so my boys will have something to read as they get older, but more than that I want to keep track of what we are doing as a family so that I can look back and see how much we will change over the years.

Here's to 2010 and enjoying the year w/o being pregnant!! :)
